Other Conditions: Special and/or Revolving funds. To begin August 2024 or soon thereafter. Renewal contingent upon availability of funds, program needs, and satisfactory performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under supervision of the Technology and Distance Programs (TDP) Director, assist TDP web and design team in the design, development and support of College of Education (COE) and other relevant web applications.
  • Support TDP staff with user interface, user experience, and graphic design needs.
  • Support TDP staff in front-end web development.
  • Design and develop COE marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters and other print and online materials.
  • Develop and present training materials.
  • Liaise with TDP staff to support web development projects.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Full-time graduate student in good standing (3.0 GPA) in Art, Interface Design, User Experience, Graphic Design, Learning Design and Technology, Computer Science, or related degree program.
  • Experience with Figma and/or other interface design or prototyping software.
  • Experience with graphic design software (i.e Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Canva, etc).
  • Experience with content management platforms (i.e WordPress).
  • Demonstrated graphic or user interface design skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong written and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience with creating wireframes and mockups.
  • Experience with organizing and conducting usability tests.
  • Knowledge of copyright and usage rights.
  • Interest in educational technology integration, web accessibility, human-computer interaction, interaction design, and/or user experience design.
