Aircraft Technician II - Hickam, HI at Jet Aviation

Location: Hickam Field, HI, US 96853 Flexible Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairs, diagnosis, and maintenance of aircraft in the Jet Aviation Flight Services fleet.

Minimum Requirements

  • Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
  • Minimum of high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations applicable to assigned aircraft
  • 4-7 years of business aviation experience
  • Possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Must be able to obtain an airport ID within a specified timeframe
  • Ability to use MS Office Suite
  • Ability to work flexible schedules
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs of aircraft systems and structures with minimal supervision, ensuring quality standards and specifications are met.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance, Inspection, and documentation teams to ensure compliance with internal and FAA requirements; complete CMP cards, work orders, and related paperwork accurately and on time.
  • Identify and tag customer property; store components securely; follow procedures for operating ground support equipment.
  • Assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas; provide training to less experienced technicians as needed.
  • Apply safety practices and protect customer property; collect and dispose of waste fluids and maintain clean work areas using Lean principles where applicable.

Additional Functions

  • Use and maintain tools and equipment; return items to storage after use
  • Participate in Lean/continuous improvement processes
  • Comply with safety rules; use protective equipment; address unsafe conditions
  • Utilize material tracking systems to manage parts, track squawks, sign-offs, and labor charges
  • Support aircraft certification and final phase testing as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Other Requirements

  • Working knowledge of FAA regulations, repair station and QC manuals, and company policies
  • English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking, understanding)
  • Able to climb ladders, work in restricted spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Available to work any shift; must be able to use a computer
