The Backend Engineer will design, develop, and maintain the server-side architecture for cutting-edge DeFi applications. You will collaborate with frontend developers and smart contract engineers to deliver secure, high-performance backend services that integrate with blockchain technology. This role is suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and has expertise in scalable systems, API development, and distributed data management.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement highly scalable backend services and architectures for DeFi applications
• Integrate backend services with blockchain networks and smart contracts to ensure seamless functionality
• Develop secure APIs for communication between frontend applications, smart contracts, and third-party services
• Optimize data storage, retrieval, and processing for high-performance environments
• Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot backend performance or security issues, and implement best practices

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Java
• Experience with Node.js, Go, or equivalent backend technologies
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and distributed data systems
• Proven ability to build and maintain APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Professional proficiency in English and Chinese, as frequent communication with international teams is required
