Key Responsibilities & Job Description:
Lead a team of engineers in the design, building, and support of Home Depot's technical infrastructure of hardware and system software.
Lead field and corporate rollouts of technology.
Lead the stand up of necessary system software, hardware, and equipment (physical or virtual) to meet changing infrastructure needs.
Create and optimize specifications for technology solutions.
Produce and manage purchase requests for hardware and software.
Lead development of test suites (functional/destructive) to enable successful rapid deployment of infrastructure as code to production.
Keep abreast of innovations and industry trends as well as changes to internal systems and determines how they impacts tools, training, and support necessary to keep systems up, running, and secure.
Participate in and contribute to learning activities around modern systems engineering core practices (communities of practice).
Proactively view articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations.
Research and analyze business trends and behavioral data to identify strategic opportunities for improvements and new initiatives.
Lead the evaluation, development, and recommendation of specific strategic technology to provide cost-effective solutions that meet THD requirements.
Research and design best fit infrastructure, network, database, cloud, AI, and security architectures for products.
Proactively create and maintain infrastructure as code and AI models for continuous improvement.
Participate in strategic project planning and management across multiple efforts.
Develop formal training courses.
Collaborate with product and project teams to understand needs and enable them with infrastructure.
Support technology architecture design review efforts for project and product teams.
Leverage tooling and custom applications to monitor the operational status of applications, infrastructure, networks, databases, and security; optimizes and tunes performance as appropriate.
Drive root cause analysis, debugging, support, and post-mortem analysis for security incidents and service interruptions.
Maintain, upgrade, and support existing systems and infrastructure to ensure operational stability.
Act as a vendor liaison, owning resourcing, issue management, and documentation.
Lead the production of in-house documentation around solutions.
Provide application support for software running in production.
Act as a mentor to more junior Systems Engineers.
Drive converting KB articles into AI models.
Drive changes to analytic models used to analyze performance.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Employer will accept alternate combination of education and experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Requires 2 years of experience in the following:1. Unix/Linux/Windows; 2. Cloud Technologies; 3. MSSQL; 4. Oracle; 5. SAP BASIS; 6. SAP HANA.
