Hawaii Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Preschool Teacher to join our diverse team across the Hawaiian islands. This vital position focuses on nurturing and developing the educational journey of preschool-aged children with varied developmental needs. In line with our vision, the candidate will personalize learning experiences to ensure all students feel valued, included, and empowered to explore their capabilities in a supportive environment. Develop and implement personalized educational plans (IEPs) for each student based on their specific needs and abilities. Engage students in age-appropriate activities that encourage academic skill development, physical growth, and social-emotional learning. Collaborate with special education team members, parents, and other school staff to maximize the educational experience of all students. Regularly assess student progress and adapt instructional techniques to foster a productive learning environment. Attend and contribute to school meetings, teacher training sessions, and seminars to remain current on educational methods and modifications. Maintain confidentiality and sensitive information concerning students and communicate regularly with families to discuss educational and behavioral progress in adherence to privacy laws.
