Job Duties of a Dental Assistant include:
Dental Assistant Lead Duties:
- Lead dental assistants in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, and plan, assign, and direct day-to-day work for each dental assistant.
- Ensure efficient patient flow by working with Dentists, other Dental Assistants, and Hygienists, and performing "traffic control" of patient flow.
- Assist the dentist with dental procedures and provide postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Update and maintain client's dental records and take and process dental X-rays of patients.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, and prepare materials.
