National Account Manager: Arizona/Colorado/Washington/California - Remote - Cigna Healthcare

Responsibilities
  • Supports the organization to achieve net medical membership growth, profitability and persistency objectives through effective service oversight, account retention and management strategies.
  • Collaborates with Advocacy partners on benefit, service, and relational strategies targeting enhanced customer and client experience.
  • Maintains market/competitive knowledge on service trends and differentiators and can communicate Cigna Healthcare services and tools in client discussions or a retail setting.
  • Collaborates with the National Account Executive (NAE) on broad account retention, growth, and satisfaction strategies, including multi-product/operational collaboration across operations, network, marketing, product, Health Care Reform, etc., and coordinates case installation and involvement of product and service partners where appropriate.
  • Participates in renewal activities, including RFP involvement and geo access reporting/analysis.
  • Develops/maintains trusted-advisor relationships with clients and consultants by proactively engaging in needs and goals discussions and leveraging Cigna capabilities to differentiate from the competition.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of Cigna Healthcare products/services across all product lines (HealthCare, Dental, Behavioral, Cigna Group Insurance, Pharmacy, Medical and Disease Management, Lifestyle Management Programs, Incentive Programs, Cigna Global, etc.).
  • Maintains knowledge of Health Care Reform (legislation/compliance rules) and articulates impacts for clients and Cigna Healthcare.
  • Leads in managing dental reporting requests, including analytics and presentation.
  • Develops/implements consumerism strategies for target accounts to drive enrollment growth and meaningful customer behavior change, including communication campaigns and event participation as applicable.
  • Maintains understanding of underwriting principles at a basic level.
  • Leverages resources to fulfill client onsite needs and offers creative solutions to drive optimal client outcomes while balancing Cigna Healthcare costs.
  • Represents Cigna Healthcare well at market events (client and consultant forums, annual enrollment, etc.).
  • Leads health care provider (HCP) network and client-specific network (CSN) activities and communications.
Qualifications
  • College degree or 5+ years of related experience.
  • 3+ years in healthcare/managed care with knowledge of product, underwriting principles, risk and financial analysis, marketing processes, sales practices, account management, and administrative operations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing skills; exhibits courage.
  • Strategic and financial savvy; ability to partner with National Account Executive to grow the book of business.
  • Strong planning/organizational skills; ability to plan long and short term, drive priorities and results.
  • Ability to foster strong working relationships in a heavily matrixed environment and demonstrate leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; credible presenter.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and execution.
  • Active Health and Life Insurance license or ability to obtain required license.
Requirements for Remote Work

If working from home, internet must be via cable broadband or fiber with speeds of at least 10 Mbps download/5 Mbps upload.

Compensation & Benefits

Anticipated annual salary: 80,900 - 134,800 USD, depending on experience and geographic location. Eligible for an annual bonus plan.
