Position Scope:
The Project Manager will oversee large, high-profile projects through order review, meetings, follow-ups, and internal and external communication until project completion. This role involves coordinating among various business units, managing project development, and ensuring successful, profitable outcomes by effectively communicating project requirements and progress.
This position supports Architectural Product Solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and understand project orders thoroughly.
- Coordinate and attend meetings (production, drafting, kickoff, review, calls).
- Maintain and update project review lists.
- Coordinate with internal departments and customers regarding shop drawings, order changes, and project topics.
- Respond promptly to internal questions and RFIs via phone and email.
- Follow up on project statuses with relevant departments.
- Review drawings against contracts, Letters of Intent, quotes, and sales directions.
- Understand our products, fabrication processes, building construction, and contract documents.
- Monitor jobs pending approval, drafting, or release.
- Troubleshoot details, materials, or field conflicts.
- Maintain high levels of communication with customers and project teams to ensure alignment.
- Update ERP system order notes as needed.
- Maintain electronic and physical project files.
- Implement and deliver solution-driven strategies.
- Work closely with production and purchasing for materials and deadlines.
- Prioritize and delegate tasks to Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Education
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, with 7-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of construction and fabrication methods/processes.
- Proficiency with BPCS, Windows Office, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience reviewing architectural and structural drawings.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret sketches, designs, and specifications.
- Effective interpersonal skills and knowledge of working with contractors.
- Computer literacy, especially in Excel.
- Leadership and management skills.
Salary Range: $60,000 $125,000, depending on experience and location. Includes bonus plan and medical benefits with company contribution.
