Senior Software Engineer - ARINCDirect Mobile (Remote)

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance native iOS applications, collaborating closely within a small, agile sprint team.
• Leverage your expertise in Swift to build new features and maintain legacy code in Objective-C when needed.
• Partner with backend teams to integrate APIs, ensuring seamless performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices to improve quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, delivering innovative solutions that enhance user experience.
• Drive process improvements across the development lifecycle, from architecture to release pipelines.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on iOS and mobile development.
• Proven expertise in Swift and familiarity with core iOS tools and frameworks (e.g., Xcode, Core Data).
• Experience building robust user interfaces with Xcode Interface Builder.
• Experience with Objective-C or other C-style languages.
• Hands-on experience integrating RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• U.S. Person status as required by government contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with Python for backend integration and API collaboration (Django or similar frameworks).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools for automated builds and deployments.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments, using collaboration tools such as Atlassian Suite and GitLab.
• Understanding of Apples Human Interface Guidelines and App Store submission processes.
