Responsible for registration and pre-registration, insurance verification, authorization, utilization of insurance benefits, coordination of benefits, and payment collection for inpatient and outpatient services. Provides administrative support to ensure efficient day to day operations. Coordination of communication to clinical personnel.

Education/Certification and Licensure: High school diploma or equivalent education. Ability to perform 7,200 adjusted keystrokes per hour. Experience: One (1) year medical office, admissions, insurance billing, or customer service experience. Experience to demonstrate the following: good verbal and written communication skills in English. Good interpersonal skills and telephone etiquette. Knowledge and skills in use of general office equipment. Ability to work under changing situations and interruptions. Ability to maintain highly sensitive, confidential material. Knowledge of medical terminology, third party payer regulations and financial requirements preferred. Knowledge of Federal, State, and local collection regulations preferred.
