The Computer Assisted Ordering Technician maintains accurate perpetual inventory balance on hand (BOH) levels, which determines optimum ordering quantities and ensures product availability for patrons. Candidates must meet the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualifications for series 1101 and additional requirements by the closing date. Your resume (and/or transcript if necessary) must clearly demonstrate that you meet the qualifications below. Qualifications can be met through experience, education, superior academic achievement, or a combination of these. Transcripts are required when using education to meet qualifications.

Experience: One (1) year of demonstrated knowledge in retail procurement, distribution methods, retail food merchandising, and store management, equivalent to at least GS-5 level. Examples include using hand-held terminals for inventory data, optimizing shelf space, ordering products, and maintaining perpetual inventory.

OR

Education: Four (4) years of successful education above high school at an accredited institution.

OR

Combination of experience and education: Combine months of experience and semester hours to meet 100% of qualification requirements.

Relevant experience includes paid, unpaid, volunteer work, or service through programs like Peace Corps or AmeriCorps.

Additional Requirements:

• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand, bend, lift, carry, reach, and work in cold environments.
• Current federal employees must have completed at least 90 days of service since their last appointment.

Other Details: Overtime is occasional; position is nonexempt under FLSA; covered by bargaining unit; no relocation incentives; not eligible for telework or remote work; not considered retired under CSRS or FERS; does not meet DoD criteria.
