Network Unified Communications Design Engineer Senior

AAC Inc is seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Network Unified Communications Design Engineer Senior to support efforts at the MCCOG. MCCOG is a specialized unit responsible for overseeing and executing defensive cyber operations, network operations, and cybersecurity for Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN). MCCOG provides centralized management and protection of Marine Corps networks, ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of critical information systems and networks. It supports the overall mission readiness of the Marine Corps by defending against cyber threats, ensuring operational security, and supporting the Marines in cyberspace operations worldwide.

The Network Unified Communications Design Engineer Senior will be responsible for assisting the Government Lead in daily engineering duties on systems. The role involves evaluating communication hardware and software, troubleshooting LAN/BAN/WAN and other network issues, and providing technical leadership in the integration and testing of complex large-scale computer networks. The engineer will also schedule conversions and cutovers.

The position is located in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.

An active Secret clearance is required for eligibility for this position.

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 13+ years with a High School Diploma
  • Education: High School Diploma or higher
  • Certifications: Must possess ITIL Level III certification and one of the following:
    • Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP)
    • CASP+ CE Advanced Security Practitioner
    • Fortinet Certified Network Security Professional (FCNSP)
    • Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Security (JNCIP-SEC)
    • Certified Modeling & Simulation Professional (CMSP) or equivalent certification, or demonstrate sufficient experience in lieu of certification.

Required Experience

  • Assist the Government Lead in daily engineering duties on systems
  • Perform LAN/BAN/WAN administration
  • Schedule conversions and cutovers
  • Evaluate and design communication hardware and software, troubleshoot network issues
  • Develop and integrate identity and access management requirements
  • Support VoIP engineering and design, including integration of VoIP servers, switches, routers, supporting features like Extension Mobility, Unified Messaging, Emergency Responder, and Call Center operations
  • Design VoIP services with Layer 3 switching and updated TACLANE configurations for USMC and DISA VoSIP integration
  • Configure auxiliary voice VLANs and manage network devices supporting voice systems
  • Manage hardware, software, and network scheduling for videoconferences across DoD and federal networks
  • Integrate with Active Directory and LDAP services
  • Perform Rights Management Services for administrators, users, and groups
  • Design and operate application networking ports, protocols, and LAN routing
  • Integrate PKI certificates and network accounts for two-factor authentication
  • Develop solutions utilizing Cisco, Juniper, Brocade, and other vendor technologies
  • Experience with complex large-scale network design, configuration, testing, DNS, and DHCP
