Dispatch Coordinator Job Description

Corporate IT Solutions (CIS) has been building and supporting IPVPN, Hybrid WAN, and SD-WAN for multi-location enterprises from 50 to over 1000 locations across the U.S., Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Canada for over a decade. CIS offers clients comprehensive monitoring and management of transports, supported by a talented team of engineers, support staff, and project managers. Together, they design, deploy, and support next-generation wide area network solutions.

Job Description

Dispatch Coordinators coordinate work schedules for creative and technical personnel, working closely with the Engagement Manager and Field Service Project Managers (FSPM). They manage workflow, provide dispatch and administrative support, and act as the first contact point for clients and internal teams.

Job Duties

  1. Monitor and respond to internal and client dispatch requests via various methods, escalating as necessary.
  2. Create work scopes for basic FSPM actions.
  3. Build work requests for field service technician engagement or recruiting.
  4. Coordinate and schedule technicians for installation and troubleshooting at client locations.
  5. Collaborate with vendors to resolve issues.
  6. Assist in building FSPM tickets under guidance.
  7. Monitor the Dispatch email queue.

Information and Communication

  1. Communicate potential issues affecting milestones to internal resources.
  2. Notify clients of dispatches via email or phone, adhering to specific requests.
  3. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours requests.

Database Management

  1. Maintain an internal database for technicians, including pricing, contracts, and availability.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant experience considered.
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to discuss technical issues with diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Helpful Aptitudes:

  • Call center or administrative experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with internet technologies like DSL and Cable a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
