Full Life is seeking a Recruiter to join our mission-driven team on Hawai'i Island. This role plays a key part in strengthening our organization by identifying, attracting, and engaging compassionate, qualified candidates to support individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. As a recruiter, you'll help build the teams that deliver person-centered, community-based services across the island of Hawai'i.

Position: Recruiter

Recruitment & Outreach

  • Develop and implement strategic recruiting plans to attract qualified, mission-aligned candidates.
  • Review resumes and assess qualifications based on job descriptions and transferable skills.
  • Conduct proactive outreach through job boards, social media, and networking to expand our talent pipeline.
  • Represent Full Life at job fairs, university events, and community hiring initiatives.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with colleges, workforce programs, and local organizations.
  • Review and update job descriptions monthly to ensure accuracy and ongoing candidate engagement.
  • Design and distribute recruitment flyers and marketing materials across job boards, social media, and community platforms.
Candidate Experience & Interviewing
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to evaluate candidate fit and alignment with Full Life's mission.
  • Coordinate interview scheduling with Program Leaders and Office Managers.
  • Represent Full Life's values, culture, and inclusive spirit in all candidate communications.
  • Ensure a respectful and positive interview experience for every applicant.
Onboarding Support
  • Assist with onboarding tasks, including offer letters, background checks, and documentation.
  • Support Office Managers and HR to ensure a smooth, well-organized onboarding process.
  • Welcome new hires and share information about Full Life's mission, benefits, and team culture.
Data Tracking & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and internal databases.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular updates to supervisors and leadership.
  • Identify trends, successful sourcing strategies, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required;
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, Psychology, or a related field;
  • 2-3 Years of experience in recruitment, HR, community outreach, or a related field preferred;
  • Experience in healthcare, human services, or nonprofit settings;
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), social media platforms, or job boards (e.g., Indeed, LinkedIn);
  • Two or more years of related experience working with persons with disabilities preferred;
  • Current TB clearance or willingness to attain one;
  • Current CPR & First Aid clearance or willingness to attain one;
  • No history/conviction of abuse, neglect, theft, or other job-related crimes as defined by the State of Hawaii Department of Human Services;
  • Must meet Full Life requirements for drug test & criminal background/records check;
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with valid automobile insurance required
