Job Summary

Help with the new Food Services Data Base proposed Software (EATEC). Ensure accurate reconciliation of cash and/or credit cards, prepares and accounts for daily deposits, assist in creating reports for different areas of food services operations, assist in special projects assigned by supervisor (Price Comparison reports, Meal Plan Comparison, Consumer Price Index, etc), performs other tasks as assigned. Prepare Food & Wage Weekly Report for Food Service Management Team to discuss at the management meeting. This A.T. position helps to prepare the graduate to serve their home country and to become the leader as they return home and fulfill the mission of the university.

Job Description

  • The employee is expected to work up to 30 hours per week and will drop down to 19 hours per week on the 4th week (30-30-30--19).
  • Must be able to work Monday-Friday both day and evening hours as needed. The daily work hours are determined by the Supervisor and may be flexible.
  • The employee must take a lunch break if working six hours or more.
  • Provides excellent customer service to customers
  • Be able to do multi-task duties by customer services, creating reports, managing and resolving current Microsoft Access and Compeat system issues.
  • Coordinates with Full Time Database Specialist and research changing the old system "Compeat/Plate IQ" to proposed new system “EATEC”
  • Process invoices on Workday and ensure payments are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Check on Workday to make sure payments have been posted.
  • Enter Catering food orders and enter inter-departmental food cost on ebilling
  • Helps working on reconciliation credit cards.
  • Develops monthly and quarterly reports including Credit Card Allocation, Credit Card Reconciliation, Price Comparison, Meal Plan Comparison and Consumer Price Index to director.
  • Gathers data from the costs of meals in order to help department to stay within the approved budget.
  • Collects data in specific areas (Vending Machines) to analyze and improve its profits.
  • Train and supervisor student employees in the Food Service Accounting Office.
  • Keep track of day and night farmers market files to ensure all fees are paid in full.

Ensures accurate reconciliation of cash and/or credit cards.

Prepares and accounts for daily deposits.

  • Assists in creating reports for different areas of the Food Services operation.
  • Performs general office tasks such as faxing, copying, answering phones, etc.
  • Maintains and secures cash reserves in the office.
  • Maintains office files and important documents.
  • Maintains office policy and procedure development and the office procedures manual.
  • Communicates frequently with the managers to analyze reports and forecast future statistics.
  • Preferably in Accounting, HTM or related background.
  • Preference is given for candidates with relevant training and experience for this position.
  • Knowledge of general accounting and office functions.
  • Proficient in computers and various software packages (Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Ability to prioritize and work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and have great customer service skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
  • Able to meet deadlines when assignments and projects are given.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Approximate starting hourly rate: $16.50. The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.

$16.00
