HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Technical Writer and Editor to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Technical Writer will assist in the development, organization, and refinement of technical documentation. This role ensures the clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness of user manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports. The ideal candidate will have strong technical writing skills, attention to detail, and expertise in editing complex technical content. Active DoD clearance required.

What You Will Do

• Gather and organize information to prepare user manuals, training materials, proposals, and reports.
• Write and edit functional descriptions, system specifications, and customer deliverables.
• Ensure documentation is clear, accurate, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate complex concepts into understandable content.
• Review and refine system documentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Provide editorial oversight and recommend improvements to documentation processes.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 6 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience.
• Strong familiarity with technical writing principles, industry terminology, and documentation tools.
• Ability to translate technical information into clear and accessible documentation.
• Exceptional editing and proofreading skills.
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
