POSITION: Maui Recovery Project Manager

DEPARTMENT: EDS / Maui County

SUPERVISOR: Maui County Coordinator

STATUS: Non-Exempt / Full time – Contingent on Funding

PAY: $24.00 to $28.00

A. QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree is preferred; however, three years of experience working in social services with a strong knowledge of local (Maui) resources will also qualify. The candidate must have a clean driving record and must successfully complete a Decision Driving Safety Test after starting with The Salvation Army and recertify annually as required. Ability to do fieldwork in various settings is necessary. Experience in disaster recovery and computer proficiency are required. Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

This position is in the Emergency Disaster Services Department. The position is not to exceed three (3) years, with the possibility of extension based on workload and funding.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Manage all aspects of the Maui Wildfire Relief Plan, including communication, budgeting, financial reporting, inventory, distribution, site visits, volunteer placement, and collaboration with the Maui County Coordinator and DHQ policy group.
2. Manage mobile support units (canteens & service vans) as needed.
3. Represent The Salvation Army and its mission in all Maui recovery matters, in accordance with its policies and procedures.
4. Attend VOAD, LTRG, and community meetings related to Maui recovery.
5. Provide statistical data as required in a timely manner.
6. Process notes and recovery paperwork within established deadlines.
7. Assist with processing assistance applications, including collection and verification of client information, qualifying criteria, and progress reports.
8. Support and collaborate with case managers on client information and reports.
9. Provide information and referrals to program participants in need.
10. Perform other disaster-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
