Alpha Inc. is seeking a skilled and proactive Civil Foreman to lead field teams across our high-impact Heavy Civil projects. This role is critical to our mission of delivering infrastructure that serves Hawai‘i's communities for generations. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who ensures every job is executed safely, efficiently, and with excellence.
As the bridge between crews and management, you'll oversee daily operations, uphold rigorous safety and quality standards, and ensure that resources, timelines, and communication stay on track. Lead Field Operations with Precision
Coordinate daily work activities and crew assignments based on project needs.
Develop and adapt schedules based on weather, priority shifts, and resource availability.
Ensure all work meets Alpha Inc.'s safety, quality, and timeline standards.
Enforce Safety & Compliance
Promote a culture of zero compromise on safety by enforcing protocols and conducting daily inspections.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free job site.
Ensure tools and equipment are in safe, working condition.
Facilitate Clear Communication
Act as the primary point of contact between crews and management.
Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and leadership.
Resolve site conflicts with professionalism and urgency.
Support Operational Excellence
Monitor and manage project budgets in alignment with financial targets.
Interpret and enforce company policies and project plans.
Identify inefficiencies and propose practical solutions for improvement.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a construction foreman or similar leadership role.
Proven ability to manage civil construction crews, equipment, and timelines.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
Strong working knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Mac-based applications.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
High attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through.
Experience working in Hawai‘i or remote island construction environments.
Familiarity with construction management tools such as Procore or HCSS.
Background in public works contracting or union crew management.
OSHA 30 or other industry certifications are a plus.
