Job Summary

In addition to the job's basic and lead responsibilities, the Student Supervisor is also responsible for the training and supervision of student employees and ensures that student employees are performing duties properly and efficiently.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assume a leadership role among the Club Leadership Council (CLC), collaborating with 11 other members, including Lead Supervisors and a Student Manager.
  • Mentor and train student Club officers to successfully plan and execute Club events aligned with university values.
  • Regularly conduct one-on-one stewardship and team counseling sessions.
  • Lead and participate in weekly 358R Leadership classes for Club Presidents.
  • Track and approve Club activities and budgets via Anthology Engage.
  • Liaise between Clubs and University departments to ensure smooth coordination of events and compliance with policies.
  • Plan, support, and attend campus-wide events such as Club Fest, Culture Night, and Food Fest.
  • Evaluate Club performance through surveys and assessments for strategic improvement.
  • Assist in writing and revising Club policies and training materials.
  • Provide customer service, mediation, and conflict resolution for Club-related issues.
  • Maintain scheduled office hours and fulfill other duties as assigned.

Education

High School

Work Experience

  • Experience in a Club officer or leadership position
  • Event planning and organizational experience (1+ year)
  • Familiarity with Anthology Engage platform
  • Public speaking or training experience
  • Budget management experience

Additional Requirements
  • Must abide by BYU–Hawaii Dress and Grooming Standards (business casual unless otherwise instructed)
  • Must commit to at least 1 year in the position
  • Cannot be absent for more than 2 weeks without prior approval
  • Expected to provide 1 semester's notice before resignin

Base Rate Per Hour:14.50
