What you will achieve

You will be the first support contact for our mission-critical deployments, ensuring top-tier service quality and issue resolution. You will work in both on-premise DoD environments and AWS cloud environments. Your insights will influence our policies and implementations.

You will contribute to solutions that enhance the stability, performance, and security of our deployments, and improve the deployment and management experience of Onebrief on-premise.

This role is part of our Deployment Solutions organization.

Core skills and technologies: VMWare, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Ansible, Terraform, Linux, AWS, DoD compliance

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience as an SRE engineer, with a focus on automating software delivery and deployment, and providing documentation and self-service tools.

• Active security clearance with experience managing mission-critical systems in DoD's air-gapped networks, familiar with the DoD IT environment.

• Experience with both DoD on-premise and AWS cloud platforms, capable of navigating complex infrastructures.

• Strong knowledge of Linux, containers, virtual machines, and Kubernetes, with ability to implement security controls like RMF and STIGs/SRGs.

• Proficiency in VMware, Docker, Helm, Ansible, and Terraform for infrastructure and deployment management.

• Comfortable with command-line operations in technical environments.

• Skilled in setting up backups, logging, and alerting across OSI layers to meet SLAs.

• Expertise in system monitoring to identify issues and predict capacity needs.

• Knowledge of incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement processes.

• Resourceful in air-gapped environments with limited external support.

• Collaborative approach to working with developers to maintain secure workflows.

• Security+ or equivalent DoD 8570.01 credential required.
