Overview

Carlson Design Group is actively seeking a creative, highly talented New Business Development (NBD) Associate to join our Design Team and contribute to our expanding business. We view the design process as a collaboration among Architects, Engineers, Client Stakeholders, and project teams.

Location

Detroit MI, Atlanta GA, Northern Virginia, or Charlotte, North Carolina. Some travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Research & Screening: Identify new leads, analyze market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials.
• Client Relations: Contact potential clients via email, social media, or phone; maintain relationships and inform about company updates.
• Company Liaison: Coordinate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging; host social events with clients.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in business administration, sales, or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience with an architecture or engineering firm.
• Experience selling to Mission Critical clients like data centers is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
