This position is in the Division of Forestry and Wildlife Kauai Branch, and oversees the Field Operations Section of the Pua Loke Field Operations Baseyard and Nursery and KMEN. The position plans and assigns the work of trades and other supervisors and workers, equipment operators and laborers within the Division of Forestry and Wildlife Kauai Branch. The position inspects the work performed by crews for workmanship and to assure the work is being done in accordance with plans and specifications and appropriate standards, and supervises the maintenance of time and cost records of materials and labor; sees that supplies and equipment are properly maintained and accounted for; informs personnel of changes in procedures of project requirements; and performs other related duties as assigned.

The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
Experience and Training: EIGHT (8)YEARS of work experience in performing a variety of work in the construction and maintenance of buildings, structures or electrical or plumbing systems of which FOUR (4)YEARS shall have been as a fully competent skilled worker AND including ONE (1) YEAR of supervisory experience which included planning and scheduling the work of other fully competent workers, assigning and reviewing their work, providing training and evaluating their work performance; OR any equivalent combination of training and experience.
Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
