Position: Permanent Full-Time in Lahaina
The Wastewater Treatment Plant Supervisor oversees the operation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of Class II, III, or IV wastewater treatment plants and related facilities, through subordinate supervisors. The role involves ensuring efficient plant operations, supervising staff, and responding to emergencies.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
These classes differ from the Assistant Wastewater Treatment Plant Operation and Maintenance Supervisor roles in that the Supervisor has immediate 24-hour responsibility for all operational activities, while the Assistant assists and participates in these activities without full supervisory authority.
Grade IV Responsibilities include:
Training and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus 4.5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of a Grade III or higher wastewater treatment plant, including 6 months in a supervisory role.
