Summary

You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Security Division, Corporate Operations Department of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.

Duties

1. You will serve as an Assistant Site Security Manager managing security services across multiple disciplines.
2. Manage physical security, antiterrorism/force protection, information security, operations security, personnel security, insider threat, and security education, training, and awareness.
3. Provide technical assistance, guidance, and oversight for all security disciplines at the ARDEL site.
4. Analyze security needs, plan, and implement security measures, and recommend equipment, methods, procedures, and systems.
5. Support site personnel with reports, foreign visitor management, ATFP exercises, and the COMSEC program.
6. Develop and establish security procedures for the protection of individuals, groups, and property.
7. Plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor security program operations at NSWC PHD ARDEL.
8. Ensure access to classified information is limited to appropriately cleared personnel with a need-to-know, including visitors.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be suitable for federal employment.
• Participation in the direct deposit pay program is required.
• Must pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
• Within 180 days of retirement, appointment of retired military members is subject to specific provisions.
• Male applicants born after 12-31-59 must register for Selective Service.
• Must obtain and maintain security clearance.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test is required.
• Position may require travel to CONUS and OCONUS sites, including remote or isolated locations.

Qualifications

At least one year of specialized experience at NT-03 (GS-09/10) level or equivalent, applying security concepts and managing access/control of information.

Education or a combination of education and experience may qualify. A transcript must be submitted if qualifying through education.
