Additional Qualifications

If hired without completing a Teacher's Education Program, you have up to 3 years to obtain a valid Hawaii teaching license. You must enroll in a program to continue employment and demonstrate active pursuit of Hawaii licensing requirements each year, as set by the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board (HTSB). Ensure the program aligns with your teaching line.

Upon hire, you need a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit. You can apply for your license via the Hawaii Teacher Standards Board Website.
