The main purpose of this position is:
To create a welcoming and meaningful experience for all visitors, sharing our story, history, and core values of quality, craftsmanship, and adventure. Assist customers with style selection, service, and repair needs, addressing concerns promptly while promoting our brand.

Available Shift Hours:

Flexible retail hours from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Sunday through Saturday.

Must commit to at least 24 hours weekly.

Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Hourly Wage: $24.00 plus retail commissions.
Location: Kaanapali, Hawaii

Primary responsibilities include:

• Greeting and assisting customers and vendors professionally.
• Working with the team to meet retail goals and grow our customer base, maintaining high service standards.
• Engaging customers with active listening, providing expert assistance in sunglass fitting, style selection, and after-sale services.
• Understanding Maui Jim products and heritage thoroughly.
• Merchandising and maintaining the store's appearance for a positive customer experience.
• Following loss prevention procedures to protect assets.
• Managing daily inventory, resolving discrepancies.
• Supporting POS processes and adhering to register procedures.
• Ensuring the store is clean and well-organized.
• Assisting with walk-in repairs and team goals.
• Projecting a professional image.
• Identifying inventory gaps and placing fill-in orders.
• Supporting onboarding and team development.
• Performing other duties as needed.

Physical requirements include:

• Using frame repair tools.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Using ladders and stairs.
• Standing and sitting for extended periods.
• Traveling to the store with reliable transportation.
• Using POS systems, data entry, typing 20-30 wpm.
• Managing conflicting priorities at a fast pace.
• Maintaining a professional customer image.

• Experience in leadership or mentoring.

• Adhering to uniform and name tag policies.

Desired qualifications:

High school diploma plus 1 year of hospitality or customer service experience.
