Salary: $28.03 to $34.14 per hour (SR-20, Step D to I).
Note: Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.
Conduct foster grandparents program activities in a participating agency; supervise foster grandparents; and perform other related duties as assigned.
Work involves supervising foster grandparent volunteers in educational settings where they tutor and mentor students. This includes selecting, orienting, training, and assigning foster grandparent volunteers based on compatibility and/or special needs, and assessing the program's effectiveness in meeting its objectives: (1) providing volunteer opportunities for individuals aged 55 and older, and (2) offering supportive person-to-person services to students.

Knowledge of current social, economic, and community needs of older persons and children, including childhood development and education; organizations and networks serving these groups.
Ability to understand and apply relevant laws, rules, and regulations; supervise foster grandparents; communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and community members; analyze complex challenges; develop action plans; and prepare clear reports.
Driver's License: Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
