Compensation: $180k-$200k Based on Experience

Alpha Inc., one of Hawaii's fastest-growing heavy civil construction companies, is hiring a Business Development Executive to help expand our footprint across the Pacific. We're looking for a highly connected, strategic thinker with deep relationships at the federal and state levels—someone who knows how to open doors, shape opportunities, and build long-term value.

About The Role

This is not your average Business Development role. Instead of just responding to RFPs, you'll be gathering early intel, working with procurement decision-makers, and shaping infrastructure opportunities to give Alpha Inc. a competitive edge. Your insights and relationships will directly influence our project pipeline and long-term growth.

Once opportunities are identified and secured, you'll pass them on to our internal experts for estimating, proposal development, and execution—making you the critical link between strategy and delivery.

What You'll Do

• Leverage deep relationships with federal and state agencies, including DOTs, Army Corps of Engineers, and procurement officials, to secure strategic project opportunities.
• Provide early market intelligence to help Alpha Inc. stay ahead of the competition.
• Engage with decision-makers to shape project scopes aligned with Alpha Inc.'s core capabilities.
• Build and maintain joint venture, subcontractor, and supplier partnerships to enhance bid competitiveness.
• Track infrastructure funding and procurement cycles to anticipate and pursue high-value projects.
• Align efforts with internal operations, estimating, and leadership teams to ensure strategic fit and execution readiness.
• Advise company leadership on market trends, competitor activity, and strategic positioning.
• Represent Alpha Inc. with professionalism and integrity in all interactions and engagements.
  
  

About You

• You're well-connected, with strong relationships in the Hawaii and Pacific Islands construction and government sectors.
• You know how to find opportunities before they hit the streets—and how to shape them to your company's strengths.
• You understand government procurement cycles, funding streams, and contracting mechanisms.
• You have experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or related business development roles.
• You're a self-starter, a strategic thinker, and a natural relationship-builder.
• You operate with excellence, integrity, and a drive to make a meaningful impact.
