Job Opportunity: Civil Construction Inspector in Maui/Lahaina, HI

Support Tidal Basin in Maui/Lahaina, HI by providing construction management oversight for the State of Hawaii. Responsibilities include documenting civil construction activities and observing work durations to ensure project compliance.

Responsibilities include:

1. Inspect and report on civil work at the Ka La'i Ola project.
2. Review contractual and governmental documentation related to civil construction.
3. Implement inspection programs to verify construction according to plans and specifications.
4. Assist in reviewing key project documents and support project meetings.
5. Communicate project progress and coordinate with team members.
6. Interpret blueprints, technical procedures, and contracts.
7. Monitor project milestones and performance metrics.
8. Inspect civil works including roads and utilities for compliance.
9. Coordinate with various project stakeholders to ensure quality standards.
10. Identify and address issues that could impact tenant occupancy.

Deliverables:

• Daily Quality Assurance reports.
• Daily project completion checklists.

Key Job Requirements:

• 5-7 years of on-site construction experience.
• Availability to work on-site in Maui for the duration of civil works.
• Proper PPE including steel toe shoes, safety vest, and glasses.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam, Onscreen Takeoff, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Understanding of construction processes, contracts, and civil engineering practices.
• Strong attention to detail and integrity.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and work within a team.
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:30 am - 4:30 pm, with Saturday mornings as needed.
