Join to apply for the Activities Agent role at Kona Village, A Rosewood Resort

Support the activation and execution of guest activities, including teen programming, partnerships with the Kilo Kai, Keiki Club, and Food & Beverage teams through activities, crafts, games, and cultural events. Work closely with various department heads to communicate, set up, execute, and entertain guests.

Operational

  • Ensure timely setup for activities and events supporting the Guest Experience and Food & Beverage teams.
  • Inspect outlets daily for maintenance, repairs, or cleanup needs.
  • Promote the Ocean Awareness & Education Program, Cultural, and Sustainability efforts.
  • Participate in the resort's safety programs, especially on the beach and related activities.
  • Execute operating plans and standards for outdoor adventure programs and general operations.
  • Inspect and maintain equipment and venues before, during, and after activities.
  • Assist with inventory, forecasting, and budgeting for supplies.
  • Support safe equipment usage by team members and guests.
  • Enforce safety rules for beach and equipment use.
  • Prioritize children's safety and needs at all times.
  • Gather guest feedback on programs.
  • Coordinate program details.

General

  • Provide exceptional service and communication.
  • Convey genuine Aloha spirit and hospitality.
  • Foster a warm, friendly, and safe environment.
  • Represent the property positively on and off-site.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and thoroughly.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, especially around children and parents.

Other Tasks

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
  • Adapt to changes in Guest Experience functions as needed.

Qualifications:

General Skills

  • Attention to detail, efficiency, and quick learning.
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow up.
  • Follow instructions effectively.
  • Strong guest service orientation.
  • Teamwork and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of LQA and Brand Standards.
  • Knowledge of resort amenities and activities for guest recommendations.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Windows programs.
  • Effective planning and organization skills.
  • Refined service skills.

Experience

  • Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
  • Advanced ocean activity skills (swimming, paddling, surfing, diving).
  • Experience in luxury resorts or private clubs.
  • Strong swimming ability and handling rough ocean conditions.
  • Ability to walk on sand and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and support safety and health protocols.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and embody the Aloha spirit.
