We're hiring a Marketing & Communications Manager who knows how to build — not just campaigns, but systems, structure, and strategy. You'll lead a growing function, manage one direct report (Creative Specialist), and own both internal and external communications. This is a chance to step into a pivotal role and make a visible impact from day one.

What You'll Own

Internal Communications

  • Develop, edit, and distribute newsletters, announcements, and leadership messages.
  • Manage internal communication tools, including platforms like Mailchimp, to drive company-wide engagement.
  • Partner with HR on campaigns like employee engagement surveys, DEI, onboarding, and organizational updates.
  • Support change management initiatives by developing communication strategies.
  • Create internal toolkits: talking points, collateral, presentation decks, and rollout guides.
  • Maintain and update the company intranet to reflect current initiatives, news, and resources.

Brand, Content & Storytelling

  • Ensure all communication aligns with Alpha's brand standards and core values.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Specialist to produce compelling content that tells Alpha's story.
  • Build reusable content libraries and templates for use across departments.
  • Oversee the development of marketing collateral for recruiting, business development, and culture-building.

External Communications & Digital Presence

  • Manage and update the company website, ensuring brand consistency and timely updates.
  • Oversee social media platforms, especially LinkedIn, to maintain voice and visibility.
  • Develop communications that reflect community and industry impact.

Sponsorships, Events & Community Engagement

  • Develop community relations strategies, manage sponsorships, volunteer programs, and event presence.
  • Plan and execute internal and external events, such as open houses and community days.
  • Coordinate with partners and stakeholders to deliver seamless event storytelling.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Manage the Creative Specialist, fostering creativity and development.
  • Collaborate with HR, Operations, and Leadership to amplify initiatives.
  • Build workflows for marketing requests, including merchandise.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing or internal communications.
  • Strong team player with a fun, candid approach to marketing.
  • Ability to relate to target audiences.
  • Expertise in communication tools and intranet management.
  • Strong social media and digital marketing knowledge.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Proven collaboration skills with cross-departmental teams and leaders.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of meeting deadlines.
  • Experience with community relations and volunteer programs is a plus.
  • Familiarity with brand management and style guidelines.

Compensation: $90k-$110k annually, based on experience.
