DRY DOCK - CAISSON ASSISTANT QUALITY CONTROL MANAGER (Regular Full Time)
Location: HDCC

We are looking for a Caisson Assistant Quality Control Manager for our joint venture Dry Dock project located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam located on Oahu, Hawaii. The Caisson Assistant Quality Control Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining the quality control process as required and is responsible for the overall caisson quality control for the project.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• The Caisson Assistant Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing and implementing the construction sections of the project caisson quality control plan (including the three phases of inspection) in compliance with Federal, DoD, and Navy requirements.
• The AQCM is responsible for directly supervising caisson QC personnel, directing and approving the correction of any and all non-conforming or unsafe construction work performed under the contract and after notifying the Quality Control Manager, for stopping further performance of non-conforming construction work or unsafe activities.
• The AQCM monitors and approves the quality of materials, plans, surveys, fabrication, as-built drawings, and other caisson construction related work to ensure compliance with specifications, workmanship standards, and the requirements of the contract.

REQUIREMENTS

• The minimum qualifications for the AQCM are:
• College graduate with a degree in engineering or related field.
• Licensed professional engineer.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience as a Superintendent, Project Manager, QC Manager, Construction Manager or Project Engineer on similar size and type of shipyard steel vessel/caisson fabrication projects.
• Five years documented direct experience in the execution of QC programs.
• Candidate must be able to gain federal base access.
• Familiar with USACE EM 385-1-1.
• Completed the course entitled “Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors” and maintains a current certificate.
