Multiple departments in the City and County of Honolulu are hiring for a Senior Account Clerk to maintain accounting records for a major section of an accounting system. Responsibilities include performing or supervising the review, posting, revising, and summarization of fiscal records and statements, compiling data, preparing reports, and performing other related duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Four (4) years of clerical experience, three (3) years of which shall have been in account record keeping work. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of bookkeeping principles and practices; office practices and procedures; the ability to maintain fiscal accounts and records; interpret fiscal records and data; interpret laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the work; etc.

Education obtained outside of the United States must be comparable to a degree earned at a regionally-accredited college/university in the United States. In order to receive credit for the education, a foreign credential evaluation (FCE) must be provided.
