Job Description

The base salary for this position is $22.07 hourly.

Issues and accepts returns of uniforms on a one-for-one basis. Maintains all record keeping of Uniform Room operations. Mends, hems, and alters uniforms according to standards. Perform uniform inventory regularly. Keeps cleanliness of the uniform room. Issues team members towels. Logs in guest and staff laundry.

  • Attend to all mending and marking activities and simple sewing tasks.
  • Monitor all rag-outs and accountable losses for terry and flat linen in contribution to general linen inventory. Keeps cleanliness of the entire uniform/sewing room.
  • Answers phones when the Housekeeping Coordinator is away from their desk.
  • Hangs all uniforms into the uniform racks.
  • Log guest Laundry and staff laundry.
  • Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.
  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting, and climbing. Have frequent need to perform standing and walking activities related to inspecting property.
  • The constant need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, turning, and finger dexterity.
  • Occasional need to stand for long periods.
  • Lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs. frequently and 25 lbs. occasionally.
  • Vision requirements: constant need to view small print. Frequent need to see small details and things clearly beyond arm's reach.
  • Hearing requirements: the constant need to speak on the telephone and/or two-way radio, respond to the general public, and converse with staff. Ability to hear fire alarms and emergency equipment.


Qualifications
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Good eyesight and dexterity
  • Able to write clearly
  • Able to do simple mathematics.
  • Good oral communications and not allergic to fabric or dust.
  • Must be loyal and discreet and able to keep confidential information
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
