This is comprised of existing client accounts but also includes the responsibility of sourcing and securing new customers throughout the region you are assigned. Utilizing current and newly established professional networks, the Account Manager encourages continued growth and optimum service for wholesale product customers across a variety of different client industries. The role is a client based one in which relationship building, maintaining and preservation is pivotal to success. Suitability for PositionTo be successful in this role, you must be an individual who can operate both independently and as part of a team to obtain goals such as ensuring a consistently high level of service is offered to our clients at all times.An individual who is self-starting, professional, and personable would best suit this role with someone who possesses an awareness of the petroleum industry a preference. To succeed in this role, you should be able to also cultivate relationships through cold calling perspective clients as well as using professional networks to establish and retain the reputation of the company and our products and services.QualificationsGeneral RequirementsCandidates must be 18 years of age or older.An Associates degree in Sales and Marketing or another business-related field is preferred.The equivalent amount of experience (2 year minimum) would also be considered.A professional understanding of industry demands including knowledge of mechanical needs such as fleet maintenance is strongly preferred.Possession of strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with both perspective and current clients as well as colleagues in a professional manner is required.You should have the ability to analyze relevant data and information to independently problem solve and work efficiently towards goals.You must also possess professional level computer skills including having the ability to easily operate Microsoft Office, SharePoint and CRM (Customer Resource Management) software.Having the ability to adapt to a fast paced and evolving work environment building internal and external relationships with multiple stakeholders at differing levels is a requirement of the role. You should have strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.Having excellent presentation and client hosting skills with the ability to engage and inspire participants from varying organizational backgrounds is necessary.Possession of, and maintaining a valid Type 3 Drivers License is a requirement of this role as well as having reliable and business appropriate transportation for work purposes including client relationsEssential Functions and ResponsibilitiesWorking with the entire wholesale team including Account Management, Operations leadership and Customer Service, develop and implement strategies to offer excellent customer experiences.Where necessary, troubleshoot varying issues within the organization to ensure the company remain at the forefront of leading business levels.Remain active within the local markets to ensure competitiveness as well as on a larger scale to ensure the organization is up to date with industry events.Understand and communicate pricing fundamentals and services offered by the company and any local competition.Engage in and follow safety procedures and protocols set by the company and any client or vendor at all times.Remain up to date on internal pricing and services ensuring proprietary information remains confidential wherever necessary.Be able to work a Full Time work schedule predominantly through business/industry hours with occasional flexibility needed.Attend and acknowledge all required company trainings and meetings including complying with the company's Rules of Conduct, policies and procedures.Maintain an acceptable standard of attendance and time keeping per company guidelines.
