JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of Student Life Vice President, the Strategic Enrollment Senior Manager is charged with understanding the mission of the university and ensuring that all recruitment and admissions efforts are aligned with achieving that mission.

This position isresponsible for developing, supervising, and evaluating the university's strategic recruitment plan, managing general and targeted marketing efforts, tracking and analyzing prospect-to-enrollment data, and ensuring effective follow-up from initial contact to matriculation. The Senior Manager oversees the Admissions Manager to integrate enrollment efforts across the university, fostering an inclusive and effective approach to attracting new students. A key focus of the position is promoting and ensuring a personalized and seamless approach to student recruitment, admissions, and enrollment, and demonstrating a strong commitment to serving underserved student populations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Recruitment Management

  • Oversee recruitment analysis, forecasting, marketing, communications, staffing, technology evaluation, planning, and budgeting to support targeted student recruitment efforts.
  • Improve and adapt existing recruitment and admissions processes to expand the universities impact across Oceania and the Asian Rim.
  • Establish procedures and guidelines in compliance with federal and state regulations for student recruitment and admissions.
  • Develop short- and long-term strategic communication plans to deliver key messages to targeted audiences using multi-channel approaches for targeted student recruitment.
  • Implement communication strategies at every stage of the enrollment process, from prospect to enrolled student.
  • Understand institutional branding, admissions cycles, and best practices for engaging through social media.
  • Maintain knowledge of the student information system, BYU-Hawaii mission, and programs.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technologies in recruitment and admissions to enhance processes and improve student satisfaction.

Leadership, Strategic Planning Management
  • Lead on the development and implementation of the international strategy, working closely with colleagues at our partner institutions and assess the staffing structure of the recruitment and admissions office to optimize efficiency and meet recruitment goals.
  • Work closely with the Admissions Manager to ensure the university maintain obligations of internal and external policies relating to admissions and quality assurance and provide an excellent service to our applicants and prospective students.
  • Work closely with the ISS to ensure the university's compliance with immigration requirements.
  • In collaboration with the Vice President of Student Life, develops implements and evaluates strategic student recruitment objectives, policies, and procedures, interprets and applies BYU-Hawaii's policies and procedures and State and Federal regulations.
  • Supervise, coach and mentor student staff to provide comprehensive services and deliver consistent and accurate information in a positive, timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with human resources policies, labor laws, and best practices in staff recruitment and development.

Collaboration & Reporting
  • Leverage the institutional and external data to inform recruitment planning and integrate analysis into the strategy.
  • Provide regular reports on student recruitment efforts, and program effectiveness to university leadership.
  • Collaborate with university departments, such as ISS, Financial Aid and Registrar, to align recruitment strategies with BYU-Hawaii's priorities and to develop and implement technology solutions that streamline operations.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to improve student recruitment and retention strategies.
  • Anticipate how policy and business practice changes may affect recruitment trends.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • BS degree required. Master's degree in a closely related field of study preferred
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years of professional student recruitment required or sales experience required
  • 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience preferred

Approximate starting salary: $73,000 - $85,000. The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.
