THE ROLE

This company is a growing retail brand based out of Honolulu and is looking to grow and expand into new markets both across the US and internationally. The right individual is someone who has existing relationships and a strong network in the retail industry, and someone who is a creative and strategic thinker.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and deliver on wholesale market expansion strategies to enter and grow in new markets across the US and globally.
  • Leverage your existing relationships and networks to identify and secure new business opportunities in target markets.
  • Oversee P&L budget and responsibilities.
  • Identify, negotiate, and establish partnerships with key stakeholders, including distributors, retailers, and other potential partners who share our passion for exceptional design and quality.
  • Continue to carry out thorough market research and analysis to understand market trends and customer needs in new markets in the industry.
  • Drive business development initiatives taking clients through the sales cycle to close.
  • Represent the company at industry events & trade shows where needed.
  • Build and lead a high-performing team dedicated to market expansion efforts, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and connection.
  • Provide regular reports on market expansion progress, financial performance, and key metrics to the executive team, keeping everyone informed and aligned.

YOU BRING

  • Several years of experience in market expansion, business development, etc.
  • Experience within the retail industry (particularly interested in candidates within furniture & home decor).
  • Proven track record of leveraging existing relationships and networks to achieve business growth, with a passion for creating connections.
  • Experienced in managing P&Ls.
  • Fantastic negotiation & communication skills.
  • Happy to work within a small startup environment and comfortable wearing multiple hats and rolling up your sleeves!
  • Strong leadership skills and collaborator.
