Surf Paws Animal Hospital is a small animal clinic on Oahu, Hawaii. In addition to our routine medical treatments, we offer regenerative medicine. In collaboration with our recently started 501 c3 organization we offer low-cost surgery and medicine to animals in need.

Role Description

If you have interest in shelter medicine, opportunity to work with our Foundation branch is also available. Happy to mentor new graduates as well as work with you to create a schedule that will ensure you love veterinary medicine for years to come. 30-minute appointments, all the usual equipment, continuing education. The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for providing veterinary care, diagnosing illnesses, prescribing medications, performing surgeries, and advising pet owners on proper care and treatment. Associate will also be responsible for enjoying a great quality of life on an island where beauty surrounds us. Part-time hours would be negotiable. There is also potential for partnership or ownership over time.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree
• Licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Hawaii
• Strong knowledge of animal care and treatment
• Excellent diagnostic and surgical skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team
