Responsibilities
I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Prepares and performs a variety of CT procedures.
•Provides patient care during procedures.
II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Essential: standing, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting, pushing/pulling maximum weight of 50 pounds of force, carrying usual weight of 25 pounds.
•Continuous: reaching at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object.
•Frequent: stooping/bending, lifting weight up to maximum weight of 50 pounds, carrying usual weight of 50 pounds, reaching above shoulder level, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
•Occasional: kneeling, squatting, twisting body.
•Operates CT scanner, injectors, interventional equipment, CT display consoles, computer, telephone, printer.
III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
•Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
•Exposed to communicable diseases.
IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
•Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist.
•Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (A.R.R.T.).
•Current BLS/HCP certification.
B. EXPERIENCE:
•Two (2) years experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility;
OR
•One (1) year experience in Radiologic Special Procedures.
•CT experience preferred.
•Experience to demonstrate:
o In-depth knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with the Medical Staff.
o Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
