The Job:
This position is responsible for the Finance Department of Backcountry Journeys. The Finance Director is in charge of managing staff in the finance department as well as the financial health of the company.
As a small business our finance department currently only has one bookkeeper however that will change as the organization grows & evolves. The Finance Director at Backcountry Journeys wears many hats including Accountant, Controller, Manager & overseeing business compliance.
The core function of this position is managing & leading your team as well as ensuring financial control & accuracy. You are directly responsible for the financial operations at Backcountry Journeys.
You will work as a member of our Leadership Team and report to the Chief Operating Officer (currently the founder of the company).
Having prior experience working for a company running on EOS is HUGE for this role.
A large part of this role is leadership, management & accountability as well as internal process creation, budgeting, forecast modeling & providing professional guidance for the Leadership Team.
As a small company we all wear many hats & this role is also responsible for business licensing, compliance & taxes as well as insurance.
