Location: Hickam AFB, Hawaii

Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a DIRECTOR OF INSPECTIONS (TITLE5), Position Description Number T5867000 and is part of the HI 154 WG, National Guard.

Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the focal point for interpreting, developing, and implementing Air Force inspection policy and wing-level long-range strategic plans.
  2. Provide direction and oversight of internal and external inspections, audits, evaluations, reviews, exercises, and analyses to determine unit effectiveness and efficiency.
  3. Ensure operational, contingency, and mobilization plans adhere to policy and direct the effective use of wing resources.
  4. Plan, organize, resource, and direct the execution of a wide range of complex inspection activities for the wing Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP).
  5. Apply extensive knowledge of installation operations and DoD, DAF, and G-MAJCOM guidance to direct complex strategic planning and exercise efforts.
  6. Organize and analyze data from inspections and exercises across the DoD to identify and communicate trends.
  7. Oversee and manage the WIT conducting inspection and exercise activities.
  8. Serve as a qualified complaint resolution representative providing advisory services regarding the IG program and processes.
  9. Conduct IG complaint, Fraud, Waste and Abuse (FWA), and whistleblower intake while protecting confidentiality.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

Conditions of Employment:

  1. This position requires a secret security clearance; the incumbent must obtain and maintain a secret Clearance.
  2. Employee will be required to wear and use personal protective equipment as required and provided by the employer.
  3. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
  4. Irregular and/or overtime hours may be required to support operational requirements.
  5. May be required to travel by car, military and/or commercial aircraft for temporary duty assignments.
  6. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to random drug testing.
