As an Office Warehouse Assistant with our petroleum operations, you are responsible for warehouse management and logistics. The ability to manage inventory accurately, process orders efficiently, and ensuring the safe handling of all materials. The position requires an individual who is able to work both individually and in a team setting to accomplish established goals and tasks. The ideal person is someone who is self-motivated, able to take on projects with minimal assistance, independent and goal oriented who can maximize time efficiency.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to thrive in a structured, fast paced work environment. A professional, personable self-starter would best suit this position with a history in the petroleum industry being strongly welcomed.

Other characteristics of the ideal person for this role include the ability to show strong organizational skills, pay close attention to detail and the ability to multitask efficiently whilst paying strict attention to Company policy, rules and standards including industry specific safety regulations.

Qualifications

General Requirements

•Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

•High school diploma or equivalent is required. Further education in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.

•Experience in a warehouse setting, particularly in the fuel and lube industry, is highly desirable. Familiarity with industry-specific safety and handling protocols is a plus.

•Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and basic computer applications like Microsoft Office. Experience with inventory software and tools specific to the fuel and lube sector would be beneficial.

•Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and maneuvering through a warehouse environment safely.

•Forklift certification is preferred. Additional certifications related to hazardous material handling or a related field is preferred.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for managing documentation and effectively communicating with team members and supervisors.

•Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

•Ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Must be proactive in managing tasks and coordinating with others to ensure operational efficiency.

•Must be flexible and capable of adapting to changing priorities and job duties within the warehouse setting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

•Assist in receiving, storing, and issuing warehouse materials and supplies related to petroleum operations.

•Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and location for easy retrieval and stock monitoring.

•Prepare and process operational documents, such as work orders, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.

•Support the coordination of logistics for the distribution of petroleum products, including scheduling and tracking shipments.

•Ensure compliance with safety regulations within the warehouse environment.

•Conduct periodic inventory audits and participate in physical counts to verify stock and identify discrepancies.

•Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring safe handling of petroleum products.

•Collaborate with other departments to optimize supply chain procedures and resolve any issues promptly.

•Provide administrative support to the warehouse supervisor, including data entry, filing, and preparing reports.
