JOB SUMMARY:

Our client is now hiring an HR Generalist. You will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR activities including recruitment, compliance, employee development, onboarding, and safety routines. You will work closely with management to implement HR strategies that align with our business goals and promote a culture of safety, development, and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and hiring.
    • Conduct new employee orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR legal requirements and best practices.
    • Conduct regular audits of HR policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Employee Development:
    • Design and implement training and development programs for employees.
    • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching and feedback to employees.
    • Identify and address employee development needs.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Address employee inquiries and resolve workplace issues.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
    • Support management in handling employee disciplinary actions and terminations.
  • Safety Management:
    • Implement and monitor safety programs and initiatives.
    • Conduct safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Develop and maintain safety policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant and recent HR experience, or 2-3 years with higher education.
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist with a focus on recruitment, compliance, employee development, and onboarding.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Experience in implementing safety programs is a plus.
