**MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

The incumbent works under the supervision of the Cook. Reads food order slip or receives verbal instructions and prepares and cooks food according to instructions. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure as required in standardized recipes. Prepares grill items and sandwiches. Prepares salads and slices meats and cheese, using slicing machine. Cleans work area and food preparation equipment. May prepare beverages. The incumbent may also serve meals to patrons over the counter.

**QUALIFICATIONS:**

Must be able to understand oral and written instructions. Job requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and /or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Ability to write compound and complex sentences; speak clearly and distinctly.
