RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs supply processing and distribution functions according to prescribed procedures and techniques.II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Standing, walking, stooping/bending, finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, pushing/pulling up to 20 pounds of force; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.Frequent: kneeling, carrying weight of 20 pounds up to 40 pounds; reaching above, at and below shoulders.Occasional: sitting, climbing stairs, walking on uneven ground; squatting, twisting body, repetitive arm/hand motions.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:Some exposure to extreme hot or cold while in decontam, subjected to noise/vibration from steam gun and sterilizers.Frequently exposed to hazardous materials (detergents and antiseptic solutions); works with operating equipment.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:Academic background with courses in general and biologic science preferred.Successful completion of Central Service Training course preferred.B. EXPERIENCE:One (1) year experience as a SP Aide or comparable work experience.Ability to understand procedures relating to sterile techniques and processing, infection control procedures, patient care equipment, supply functions and inventory control procedures.Ability to speak, read, write and understand English both orally and in writing.Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Vet
