Visiting Faculty Position in Biology

Inside Higher Ed – Faculty of Science, Program: Biology. Full‑time faculty position. Review of applications will begin on December 1. Salary range: 114K–124K (assistant‑associate professor), depending on credentials. Contract renewable up to three years. Not eligible for Continuing Faculty Status.

Responsibilities

  • Teach approximately 36 semester credit hours per year over three semesters in some (but not all) of the following subject areas: Intro Biology, Ecology, Conservation Biology, Marine Biology, Statistics, Anatomy.

Qualifications

  • A doctorate in Biology is required, specializing in areas such as Ecology or Conservation Biology. Additional expertise in Anatomy is desirable.
  • As an educational institution affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter‑day Saints, BYU‑Hawaii prefers to hire qualified members of the Church in good standing, as authorized under 41 C.F.R.
  • For Church members: hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend and receive a clearance from the Church's Ecclesiastical Clearance Office.
