The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an End User Specialist II to support our government customer out of Maui, Hawai'i.

Description of Responsibilities:

  1. Initiate and submit requests for service, process Telecommunication Service Requests (TSRs) and Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs), maintain circuit information, and perform duties of a Node Site Coordinator (NSC). Respond to Network Operations and Security Centers (NOSCs), provide limited touch maintenance on DISN equipment, and assist DISN elements. Restore circuit outages, report communication outages, coordinate with network managers, manage circuit records, evaluate network solutions, install additional circuits, and cable drops.
  2. Provide qualified on-site technicians for configuration, installation, monitoring, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of site operational network infrastructure including routers, switches, servers, and security systems.
  3. Maintain Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) capabilities for critical network components.
  4. Manage VoIP and VoSIP databases, including upgrades, relocations, and removals of Cisco systems and IP phones.
  5. Support installation of NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS LAN, MAN, WAN, VoIP, or VoSIP systems, including project support during installations and upgrades.
  6. Manage network databases, topology diagrams, configurations, backups, reports, and restore operations.
  7. Support inspections, Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRIs), IG visits, and self-assessments.
  8. Provide change management, software patching, troubleshooting, and repair for communications systems including Windows and Linux-based systems, printers, mobile devices, radios, and VTCs.
  9. Use management tools such as SCCM, WSUS, Remote Desktop, and Remedy Ticketing System.
  10. Process and track Network Change Requests following approved policies.
  11. Respond to customer calls, emails, and tickets within 24 hours.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Security+ CE certification or higher
  • Associates degree in an IT-related field preferred
  • At least two (2) years' experience supporting help desk roles at a DoD installation

Citizenship and Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance
